March 19, 2012 - WKA Triple Crown Winner Set to Pick Up Awards at Kershaw!
Joel Jens Racing is set to pick up the prestigious World Karting Associations (WKA) Triple Crown Award at the annual Manufacturer’s Cup banquet
at Kershaw, South Carolina this coming weekend. Kershaw is a special place to Joel Jens, which is where he picked up his first National victory a year
ago at the inaugural WKA race at the South Carolina circuit.
2011 was a special year as the team racked up some impressive results in route to
the WKA Triple Crown Award, 16 top 10’s, 12 top 5’s, 2 Poles, 5 Pre Final wins and 6 overall class wins. Along with this Joel had an
impressive showing at the SKUSA Super Nationals, where he overcame some bad luck and came home with a solid 6th place finish after starting deep in
the competitive field.
Looking to continue on his winning ways, Jens started the 2012 WKA Manufacturer’s season with 3 podiums and a
victory at Daytona in December.
Jens recognizes that there are many who contributed to his success for the year and would like to thank them
for their dedication and support to his racing: Switch Racing Engines, Kevin Nelson, Vic Matuszewski, Verde Speed Resources, Tiffin Willareth, GO
Designs, Tony Kart, OTK USA, L & T Clutches, Bank First National, TA Motorsports, WOMT Radio, Greenstone Farm Credit Services, Stocks Harley Davidson
and all his family and friends.
